johnloumiles Posted April 20, 2011 Share #1  Posted April 20, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Guys  The subject says it all. I select auto ISO but the camera stays at whatever film speed it was at previous to. I re-installed the 2.0 firmware update but that did nothing. I've scrolled through all the settings and messed around with the AUTO ISO settings to no avail. Is there something i'm missing?    Thank you for any insight you may have. wda Posted April 20, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted April 20, 2011 Could it be that inadvertently you have set manual shutter speed and lens aperture which demand an ISO AutoISO cannot give?
maddog333 Posted April 21, 2011 Share #3  Posted April 21, 2011 After installed new firmware, have you 'restore factory default' thru menu? As upgrade instruction suggest, this step is very important, more like 'reboot you PC' after install new hardware/software. If that's done, try remove battery, then re-insert it. (together with step mentioned above, you've done a cold-reboot and hot-reboot  Finally, try set the Auto-ISO in menu with desired setting, mannually set to F.28, Shutter 1/30, Auto-ISO, Auto-focus -- then use your hand to gradually cut the lights go into the len, watch the LCD and see if ISO goes down.  Good luck.......
