Will ever-ready case for D-Lux 4 fit a D-Lux 5 (and related question)

I have a D-Lux 4 with an Ever-ready case I bought at the same time - which I REALLY like.

 

At first I was told that the case would NOT fit an D-Lux 5, but then saw this on B&H.

 

I am not sure if this is a different Ever-ready specifically made for the D-Lux 5 (i.e. a bit larger so it will fit the D-Lux 4) or the same case I bough for the D-Lux 4 which happens to work for the D-Lux 5.

 

Can anyone here confirm - first hand - that, as long as I don't have the extra hand-grip, the original Ever-ready case for the D-Lux will work well with the D-Lux 5? I was told by other sources that it would not fit.

PS In a related question ... in your opinion are we getting too close to a D-Lux 6 release to consider buying a D-Lux 5 now?

Fits just fine - the belt loop is roomier - the closure is better too.
