Hello,

I am an aperture user and before I start pp some files from the M9 I wanted to know since the M9 files are DNG and it's shipped with Lightroom if there is anything special

with that software optimized for M9 files that I can't do on Aperture!

I have used LR in the past and one extra thing i noticed with dng are the option to save the adjustments inside the raw file. !

Thanks

Vadim

No, there isn't. The only 'special' point about Lightroom is, it's free—for M9 owners, that is. But when you already have Aperture then this is an empty argument to you. Of course you can use any modern raw conversion software to process your M9 files ... Aperture, Bibble, Camera Raw, Capture One, Silkypix, etc etc ... whatever you prefer.

Saving the settings inside the DNG files (as opposed to in a database or in so-called 'sidecar' files) is a property of the DNG file format, not Lightroom. Any raw converter that is able to handle DNG files can do the same.

Cool Thank you. So Aperture can save the adjustment inside the file directly. I didn't know that.
