Åmund Posted April 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am fairly new to digital photography. I am also quite ignorant in computer matters, so I have a fair share of problems in post processing. I got Lightroom 2 with my camera (M9) and bought Lightroom 3 and Scott Kelbys book. I have successfully produced some photos, mostly by intuition, but yesterday I decided to learn the system from scratch. Opened the book, connected my external harddrive and bacup harddrive, inserted the memory card into my MacBook and started on page one. I followed his instructions to the letter (I think). The thumbnails came on the screen, but when I wanted to import the images, I found that the import button was inactive:(! Do any of you have any idea of what is wrong and what I should do? Sincerely Åmund:o
Advertisement Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Hi Åmund, Take a look here LR3 Problems. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Åmund Posted April 3, 2011 Author Share #2 Posted April 3, 2011 I found out myself! My son will never believe it! I used a memory card from which I had imported images before, and thus already existed on the harddrive. And as I had ordered LR not to import suspected duplicates, it politely declined to do just that. I think, though, that the program should feature some rude noise to be emitted when idiots try to do idiotic things and perhaps a tip about what´s wrong. Regards Åmund :D
