Hello, I have a Leicaflex model 1 and I would like to know how to remove the Focus screen for cleaning, unfortunatley there is a bit of dirt on the inside of the glass which is bothering me, any help would be most appreciated,

Sincerely,

Ian.

It's easier to make it worse than to make it better. Removing the viewscreen for cleaning takes only a few tools but putting everything back together correctly is rather fussy and you will probably end up with meter calibration out of whack. Best to let a qualified repair technician do this job.

Is it possible to take a photo through the viewfinder so that we can see the dirt? Reason to suggest this is because it might not be dirt. Leicaflex screens are prone to ageing faults. Dismantling is not an easy DIY job.
