FWIW, leasing arrangements often have annual limits of 15,000, although lesser amounts are common as well.

Actually, it is possible to develop leases based on any milage, length and the vehicle. I have leases that are for 100k a year, others that are for as little as 8k, some are for two years, others 5 years, some pick up trucks, others sedans.

In other words, truly, YMMV.

My comment still holds: the typical US annual mileage limit is 12-15,000, with 15,000 being the most common, according to various leasing sites I checked. Variability is another factor; one I don't doubt.

FWIW I buy, not lease.

The lease my cars. The maximum mileage that BMW Finance will lease is 120,000 miles over three years - just about enough for me. But, that's only for their diesel engined cars, not petrol.

My current car is a VW Golf. VW Finance won't do a "Contract Hire" lease for that kind of mileage, so we have worked up a different finance package with them.
