The X1 should be an excellent tool for shooting panoramas .I have not yet been able to test the panorama capabilities of my X1 yet as 7 weeks after I purchased it brand new the local repairer is still waiting for parts from Germany to fix it ( shame on you Leica) .Nonetheless I have just posted some of my personal panoramas of Paris and some notes on shooting panoramas on compact cameras on my blogsite The Rolling Road

I have also included a link to the amazing Paris -26 gigapixels site which presents a panorama of Paris stitched from 2346 photos . A must see for any photoenthusiast .

It is a great camera for shooting panoramas, I've had great success with it on several trips. It's difficult to share the results here with the limitations on photo width, maybe why you don't see many on the forum.
