Leica - A Class Act!

Often, we're quick to criticize and complain. I'd like to recognize an act of excellence that defines Leica in my mind.

 

First thing tomorrow morning, we're traveling on vacation. I'd misplaced a part from my X1 and called Leica in NJ to see if they had it. They did and shipped it to me immediately - I just received it. Problem solved. That's customer service at its best - the little things do count!

what part were you missing?

 

I unscrewed the small plastic sleeve over the lens and replaced it with an adapter. It's somewhere in my apartment and will show up one day, for sure (I didn't throw it away!). Without it, you can't cover the lens with the cap.

Elaboration:

Not only did they repair my X1 both times for free when any other company would have charged me, but both times I requested return by a certain date for events I needed to shoot and they expedited as soon as I asked, and they said they were happy to do it.
