earful Posted February 21, 2011 Share #3  Posted February 21, 2011 I have been thinking of getting a X1. However, there seems to be a awful amount of barely used one`s on eBay and other sites! So I ask why are people selling so soon after purchase:cool:??  how can you be sure they're barely used? someone asked recently how to check on number of actuations, and there appears to be none. i did buy on ebay, however - but a model sold by popflash and described as a refurb - came with a one-year warranty and the right to download lightroom (which i already had).  what amazes me is that the used price - without a warranty - generally continues to be within striking range of the new price. i think maybe one has to start thinking of the x1 as a leica lens with some unusual stuff wrapped around it. elbonedeedo Posted February 21, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted February 21, 2011 I know Michael, right? I mean those great B&W images on your website produced by the X1 shouldn't be any indicator of why someone would keep one

phancj Posted February 23, 2011 Share #11 Â Posted February 23, 2011 No, that wont do. Unless X100 has interchangeable lens. From what I read so far, the X100 IS the perfect camera.

earful Posted February 23, 2011 Share #17 Â Posted February 23, 2011 well that takes us back to the topic of the thread - the price of x1s on ebay will certainly drop and their number will increase in light of the perfection of the x100. Â meanwhile, some of us still expect leica to produce a worthy firmware update. Â by the way, steve huff's front page today is a short revisit of the x1 - including photos - for anyone interested.
