wda Posted February 24, 2011 Share #41 Posted February 24, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mobeyone, looking at a jpeg on screen is not the best way of assessing performance of a lens. However, looking at the baby's nose (picture enlarged) there is very clear subject movement, possibly added to a little camera shake. Both would seriously degrade any lens performance. I suggest you set a higher ISO so that you have a minimum shutter speed equal to or greater than 1/125th second. (Set Auto ISO and meter manually). Make several shots of the same subject to eliminated random errors. The two Summicrons should yield equally excellent results, taking account of the different magnifications. Advertisement Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Hi wda, Take a look here Swapped from 50MM cron to 35MM Cron (asph). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted February 24, 2011 Share #42 Posted February 24, 2011 ....Now, if I am using RAW can I still set to aRGB? and convert to sRGB in photoshop? or is this still problematic as above? Thanks again. If you set your camera to capture RAW, it will ignore other settings which are only appropriate to jpegs. Once in PP, you simply export your files after processing in whatever form you wish. So yes, you can end up with sRGB for web viewing.
