epand56 Posted February 10, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2011 Hello, welcome to the Forum. I think you shouldn't have too much pain to find another M8. They are sold everywhere, even on the Buy and Sell section here on the forum. Just have a look around.

pop Posted February 10, 2011 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2011 The entry says "verkauft". That's German for "sold". In other words, the camera has already been sold. Better luck next time.
andybarton Posted February 10, 2011 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2011 There are several M8s for sale in our Buy and Sell section. Every dealer in the UK has at least one for sale, so I am sure it's the same all over Europe.

Christoph13 Posted February 11, 2011 Share #9 Posted February 11, 2011 what's the preference for black or chrome? Bad taste? Only joking, of course, I have a black one but I'd be equally happy with a chrome.
epand56 Posted February 11, 2011 Share #10 Posted February 11, 2011 what's the preference for black or chrome? it's the same camera! If it's the same, they'd do only the black or the chrome. They do both because is not the same. Otherwise all cars would be gray
Want-a-leica Posted February 11, 2011 Share #11 Posted February 11, 2011 I got mine (just a couple of days ago) from the website of Red Dot cameras in London. It took a while to get here because of customs and tax, but now it's here it seems to be in excellent condition. Have a look at their site Red Dot Cameras - Leica Cameras, Leica Binoculars, Metz Flashguns, Manfrotto Tripods, Leitz

deirdre Posted February 12, 2011 Share #14 Posted February 12, 2011 I bought mine used from KEH. They don't have any used M8s at the moment, but check back. B&H has one at the moment, though. Price is a bit higher than I'd expect on eBay, but presumably it's been checked out in the way eBay ones typically aren't.

ho_co Posted February 13, 2011 Share #16 Posted February 13, 2011 ... No chrome body what's happened with m8 chrome bodies? A year ago I didn't have problems to buy one... Black usually outsells silver chrome when the camera is new; so dealers will sometimes be out of black but still have silver in stock. That means that fewer chrome bodies are produced, so they'll be rarer on the used market. And because of their scarcity, they'll be more expensive. Good luck!
