Shootist Posted February 5, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone else had a problem with CS5 on XP Pro SP3 crashing with a MSVXX80.dll?? file error. I run 2 OS's, Win 7 and XP, on separate HDD, not installed in the system at the same time, and today I booted back in XP to check the speed of both Bridge and PS load times and processing times. When trying to open PS it would open then crash with a error PS has cause a illegal shutdown of MS VXX80.dll. After opening Bridge CS5 and doing a update check and installing a update for some other part of PS the program started and ran OK. On Win 7 I have not had this problem. By the way I find PS CS5 to run better on XP with only 3GB RAM then On Win 7 with 6GB RAM. Both Bridge and PS open faster and process files faster.
