sblutter Posted February 6, 2011 Author Share #21 Posted February 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The calibration shot's lens is a Viso Canadian 90 2.0 Summi - I'm not nuts about it but its a good length for some stuff. Its tiny DOF makes it useful to test with. I agree with the black 65 - that's my main lens (DOF range appeals) - will check out the availability of models you suggested - thanks. Here's the type of work I'm currently doing - collages (I shoot ea. figure separately and tight for hi rez and bring them together in Pshop) End up with about 1 GB files - my exhibition size goes up to 84" long side. Street shooting petered out for me years ago - too difficult to express myself. Enjoy... Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Hi sblutter, Take a look here M9 - Viso III - yet another problem - inaccurate framing. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sblutter Posted February 6, 2011 Author Share #22 Posted February 6, 2011 For others who may read this, the old silver mylar slide binding tape is a very fine shim, .0002. Better than paper by a mile. Cut it on a glass sheet with razor blade and use what you need. Aluminum foil good also but thicker, around .002 if I remember correctly. I couldn't find my roll of that tape - thought of that! Paper's OK for now - you saw the result. I got good focus on the 3rd try - had at least a dozen types to experiment with - so easy to work with and change out if necessary.
