mikebidwell Posted February 2, 2011 Share #21 Posted February 2, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just for your information: I've just disabled the pop-up ads for all users who are logged in. The campaign will run for about two weeks from now on for guests only. Best regards from Bonn Andreas I've just logged in this morning and as Andreas says 'no pop-ups' Thank you

bill Posted February 2, 2011 Share #22 Posted February 2, 2011 Thanks Andreas. As one who detests any attempt at being "sold at" in any shape or form this is much appreciated. Regards, Bill

daveleo Posted February 6, 2011 Share #25 Posted February 6, 2011 glad that I found this thread. I am a sponsor and I get a German language popup whenever I log in. . . . happened just a minute ago. YIKES. . . . it also happened when I logged OUT, so I logged back in to tell you and got yet another popup in German. The German part does not bother me, but please stop the popup in any language ! richfx Posted February 6, 2011 Share #26 Posted February 6, 2011 I have received countless pop-up ads on the site recently - extremely annoying. Why are these vendors being allowed to sabotage the site? It's very unfortunate. Rich Just received additional pop-ups - after I logged off, cleared my browser then logged back on. Whatever is being attempted on the site's end is not working. Get rid of these vendors. Who would want to deal with them the way they behave?
Tim B Posted February 6, 2011 Share #27 Posted February 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Despite turning off pop-ups on my browser, I'm still getting this German one. It is really slowing up my login and reappears when I log out. I'm sorry if this is economical necessity, but there is no other value for me - I can't even understand it (I don't speak German) and it is becoming a real turn off. I now hesitate before logging in, which I normally do every evening. Can we really not do without it? Tim
