maccaco Posted January 31, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a SUMMICRON-M 35 f/2 black, year 1972, number 2540262, which I bought at a good price. I want to know if this lens can encode 6 bits myself to use on my M8. A user has a similar lens and is encoded by oneself for M8? Any help is appreciated
Advertisement Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Hi maccaco, Take a look here SUMMICRON-M 35 f/2 black (1972) 6 bits encode?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
maccaco Posted February 2, 2011 Author Share #2 Posted February 2, 2011 In the end, I coded the lens as a summicron-M 35mm coded 0XXXX0 35 f2.0 = 30 but still I could not test the lens as I sent the camera to review. I hope everything works well. However, if someone can give me information, I appreciate it.
01af Posted February 2, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 2, 2011 In the end, I coded the lens as a Summicron-M 35 mm coded 0XXXX0 35 f2.0 = 30 but still I could not test the lens as I sent the camera to review. I hope everything works well. That's the code for the Summicron-M 35 mm 1:2 Asph, i. e. the current version. For the older non-asph 35 mm Summicron versions, the proper 6-bit code is 6 = 000110. However I guess it won't make much of a difference in actual use; both codes should work.
