Leica_M_Friend Posted January 23, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Leica, C1 and Cornerfix friends, I just got my M8 (on FW 2.005) (a used one, but perfect condition) and I am so happy to go back to the old days of photography... Used a M6 for years, went to Canon DSLR but decided to get a small and handy cam to carry... So, here is my problem. I use a nice Zeiss Biogon 2.8/21mm on the M8 and I work with Capture One 5.2.1 (6.x isn't a stable product yet). The lens is not coded so far... New M8 shot in DNG + JPG: JPG - C1 shows shutter speed, no aperture - this is fine with me, as I work with DNG all the time... DNG - C1 shows shutter speed and it shows the Leica g-stop value as aperture Processing in Cornerfix using my M8_Biogon Profile... MakerNotes Option -> Update EXIF [X], as I want the strange Leica MakerNotes to go into the standard DNG-EXIF... Tested "use calculated aperture" with [X] and [ ], but no value appears (in C1) when loading the processed files into C1. Exiftool shows: Leica MakerNotes are gone after processing, and a different value is written to the EXIF (CF calculated vs. Leica g-stop), but C1 does not show an aperture value at all after processing via Cornerfix. Any hint how to solve this and get an aperture value in C1? C1 should be able to read and process a standard DNG file, and Cornerfix should produce a standard DNG file with correct exif-data... sandymc Posted January 23, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2011 C1 V5.1 (Mac) shows the "post CornerFix" EXIF value correctly for me.... You might have to take this one up with Phase One. Sandy
Leica_M_Friend Posted January 23, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 23, 2011 Hi Sandy, I just tested with CS4 / ACR - works well, Leica f-stop or CF calculated value as selected in CF - must be a small bug in C1 (WIN Version), will open a C1 support case on Monday and post the result here... And - CF is a GREAT tool! Thanks for that! Kay
