SuperFish Posted January 21, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) After finishing a roll today I wound on to find the end of the film or the last frame. All of a sudden there was an odd click from where the take-up spool is inside the camera. I had trouble rewinding the film as it seemed jammed. Eventually I got the film out but I'm unable to wind my camera on without a film in. The lever just doesn't want to move? Any help or advice is very much appreciated, I just don't want to be separated from my beautiful work horse. Thanks, Fish
Advertisement Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Hi SuperFish, Take a look here My M6 seems to have jammed :(. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Xmas Posted January 21, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2011 remove lens cap, open the lens wide and set the ISO to 1000, what serial nnnxxxx willdo. i) try setting the shutter to 'B', dont use force if it does not want to click round as it normally would. Sometimes the shutter will click when taken to B if it is in mid sequence, If it does you may have done something wrong or the camera may have been too cold for its lube. ii) set the rewind lever to rewind and try and rotate the sprocket shaft in each direction, it should spin freely, if not there is something wrong. Nicoleica Posted January 21, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2011 Probably a silly question, but have you tried pressing the shutter release? You might have managed to 99% wind on before you reached the end of the film.
SuperFish Posted January 24, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks both for your replies. I tried both and didn't have any luck. It's gone to a local camera repairer so hopefully i'll be making pictures again soon. Thanks again, Fish
