C1 & CS2 Profile Setting

In C1 & CS2 when using DNG- Do you use the "embedded" profile or use the one in the software?

In C1 I tend to use Jamie's low saturation profile, unless converting to B&W with one of the JFI profiles.

If you are importing the photo into PS in order to print it it is important to allow it to convert the colour profile to that used by your printer - usually Adobe RGB.

Sorry Chris,

that I did not understand.

Do you mean:

you process in C1 with (for example) a Jamie-profile and if you go on to photoshop for further dealing with the photo or just printing: you will be asked, whether you will keep the (C1 jamie-profil) camera-profile or should it be changed to the adobe-profile.

If you agree to change into RGB, you will not lose the character of the Jamie-profile?

Sorry for my bad English. I hope, you understannd, what I'm asking for.

Until now, I ever refused photoshop to convert into RGB.

Thank's for giving me some advise.

Manfred
