JeTexas Posted January 18, 2011 Author Share #4 Â Posted January 18, 2011 I forgot to mention two things in the video. I set the camera to manual focus and you have to write everything backwards to make it readable. Otherwise you have to flip it in post production. JeTexas Posted January 19, 2011 Author Share #7 Â Posted January 19, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) is this called "light painting"?? Â Yes, this is light painting. Â Another way to use this long exposure method is instead of shining the lights at the camera to draw, you can shine them on an object, which would basically paint it into the photo. You could paint a statue with blue light and then the rest of the scene with red -- all kinds of crazy stuff.

JeTexas Posted January 28, 2011 Author Share #9  Posted January 28, 2011 love the question mark....is this done with the LCD of the X1 as well  The question mark photo was created by setting the X1 to a 30 seconds exposure and using the X1's flash.  The flash captured the initial exposure of me in the pose with my hand out. I then used a large flashlight to draw the question mark.
