kapoamos Posted January 19, 2011 Share #21 Posted January 19, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) i take a tube from fotolinsen24 for nikon 8400.fits perfect .i press a 49mm filter inside the tube(you have to abrade the filter,so it fits strong, it looks better when the filter and the lens is close together),add some parts like an old rubber band and some stickers and an leica( like) hood(52mm) from china....that´s it ! on the pict you see the form, i like the different diameter of the adapter .... Thanks! But I'm in to this kind of trick, mind to tell me more detail? thanks a lot!

Guest Posted January 20, 2011 Share #22 Posted January 20, 2011 Lambda, What have you used ? Hod did you do it ? I genuinely love your solution. Yves hi, i try my best in english:) the adapter is called fotolinsen24 adapter tubus 8400. i bought it in german e-bay take a look at this: Adapter Tubus Adaptertubus für z.B. Nikon 8400 bei eBay.de: Adapter (endet 06.12.10 18:52:13 MEZ) as i said before it front diameter is 52mm.i don´t like the look when the lens and the filter are not close togehter.so i press carfully a 49mm filter inside (i fixed it with my workbench) ,you have to abrade it before. it fits strong but for secure i take some glue ,safty first:) so this is a perfect protection for the lens and i still can add hood or what ever. i take this nice chinese made hood 52mm (e-bay) i pimped with some partslike an scaling from an old rodenstock lens and an rubberband. i like the look so much......., the new prof. solutions are great but i prefer my unique one Welcome, dear visitor! buckster Posted January 22, 2011 Author Share #24 Posted January 22, 2011 I fianally got my adapter, only took 5 days out of NY, $18.99 with free shipping. The vendor has since raised his BIN price to $23.99, but still a good bargain. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330519595624&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D330519595624%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1 Anyway, the adapter fits very well, threads on fully and looks very nice. Most of all, I can now use my Heliopan UV and Polarizer filters. Pretty nice piece of kit! Welcome, dear visitor! buckster Posted January 25, 2011 Author Share #29 Posted January 25, 2011 Schott Glass makes the glass for Zeiss, Heliopan, B+W, etc and they have a fantastic reputation. I think that a really good choice if you didn't want to pay the premium price for Heliopan would be B+W. Both are very good, solid brass and both German made...B+W seems to be 30% or more less expensive. You can't beat the German quality. Make sure you purchase a circular polarizer and not linear. Photojazz Posted February 6, 2011 Share #30 Posted February 6, 2011 Mine came today from HK. A 49 - 77mm adapter allows me to use my Singh-Ray Vari-ND filter on it, as well as 77mm Heliopanpolarizer, or even my Singh-Ray Color combo polarizer which is cokin mounted. I know the 77mm Nikon lens cap on a 77mm UV filter is a little wild.
