vickko Posted January 12, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Which SBOOI is more rare - all chrome, or chrome with black? The engraving is slightly different too. One has "GMBH", the other doesn't. I have one all chrome, and two chrome with black eye-ring. One needs to become a donor of parts. vickko Posted January 12, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 12, 2011 Thanks I've taken apart the all-chrome unit. The foot was glued on, with epoxy, so it must have been repaired by some previous owner. I will try to transplant the entire optical head, into the housing of a Nikkor 5cm brightline finder unit. I hope the Japanese housing doesn't harm the bokeh of the German optics :-) Vick
