Guest petemasty Posted January 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have just taken owenership of a D Lux 5 as a 'pocketable unit'. However, the problem i have is two-fold. Have tried registering with the Leica Owners 'Club' but cannot get past Page 3 of the registration (just cannot figure out why). Obviously need this to download Liughtroom 3. Now, secondly, Having tried to download my recent pics in PSPx2 (and even Canon conversion software), i have noticed the file extension is RWL. So I'm completely unable to view my pics. Will Lightroom allow me to view these files? And secondly, is there a problem with the Leica Owners site.? Advertisement Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Hi Guest petemasty, Take a look here New Leica Owner slightly perplexed. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Rusted Chrome Posted January 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2011 The owners area seems to be working for me, including the softwrae download page. I am already registered so I can't comment on any problems with the registration part. Can you login with the profile you created? The D-lux 5 RAW files are definitely readable in Lightroom and Photoshop. I'm not sure about other programs. One trick that owners were using before Adobe updated those programs was to rename the RAW files with a ".DNG" extension. This made them readable in other programs that support the DNG format. Guest petemasty Posted January 8, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 8, 2011 All sorted now. Harrison Cameras in Sheffield (where i bought the DLux5) have kindly registered me. And to top it all the Lightroom 3.3 works a treat.
