pico Posted January 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2011 Hello, Has anyone tried to use this product to cover a opening with velcro? Will it be light tight? Does adhesive stick to the material? Black Out Opaque Plastic Cloth, 48" x 16 ft. roll - 13631 It is nothing special, and it is not a good idea. I live in Minnesota USA where it gets very cold. I used such material to cover a bedroom window for the darkroom. We have double-pane (and better) windows. That black stuff created a solar panel and sagged, and created so much heat it ruined the heat control in the room. Highly reflective material on the outside, and whatever you wish on the inside is good. Black is not the desirable non-color for a darkroom surface. You want to reflect all the safelight you can. Adjust the safelight to the appropriate level.
MX5Bob Posted January 11, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2011 Years ago I used black, rubberized cloth, but not to cover an entire window except one in the basement when my darkroom was there.
