My wife is a bit of an authority on the forcing of bulbs, mostly hyacinth but also crocus. She always prepares a display for ye olde midwinter festival. This is her first crocus to come to flower. I prefer to shoot with a certain whimisical feel when it comes to flowers but my wife prefers realism, hence the two versions.
