jjonsalt Posted December 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I would like suggestions for storing hard copies. I'm looking for; holds letter size (8.5x11 inch) paper; pages can be shifted around to keep same subject matters together as collection expands and easy/comfortable for friends/family to look at with good protection for the photos. This would be for long term. Thanks
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Hi jjonsalt, Take a look here Hard copy storeage. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tobey bilek Posted December 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2010 Light Impressions.com sell numerous storage containers which require no holes or slipping in clear sleeves. If there will be a lot of handling, specially by others, I would recomment protective sleves. I also recomment a quality mounting procedure to archival boards. radfilm Posted December 19, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 19, 2010 As mention earlier, Light Impressions has awesome archival boxes and inter weaved paper to go between the photos. This is the best for long term storage. They have choices of paper that works best for Color or B&W I have done a lot of reference about this subject and feel this is the best system. of course the photos will not be protected when you touch them but I really don not think this is a problem as how many times will you really touch them anyway. The paper is very resilient. That is my 2 cents
