tobey bilek Posted December 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Saw a back side of a M9 in a Channel #5 commercial this evening. It is a very classy ad for Channel and the front of the camera is not shown, only the back in large size. A pic is made and the screen on the rear has an image appear on it. Perhaps it was just a handy available camera or perhaps Leica paid, but then the name is usually shown if a company pays. I never watch commercials and always mute them so I missed the beginning. Something more of the camera may have been there. Take a look if you spot the ad. Channel always runs ads a Christmas time.
Advertisement Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Hi tobey bilek, Take a look here Leica as an ad prop?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted December 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 13, 2010 The advert is from last year and it's an M8, IIRC. I haven't noticed Leicas in any other advert, but then I don't watch much TV on commecisl channels.
kkochheiser Posted December 13, 2010 Share #3 Posted December 13, 2010 If its the same commercial, someone posted this link a few months ago: YouTube - Audrey Tautou Chanel No 5 Commercial (2'20'' version) Kent

tobey bilek Posted December 13, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted December 13, 2010 I guess even Channel is forced to recycle commercials now. I only cought the last 10 sec or so, but I can see the front of the camera appeared just before I cought on. Pretty cool for a commercial though. Still not buying any Channel though. Probably no M9 either. I did buy a roll of 160 VC. It scans very well and if the weather gets up to 20F and the sun shines, I will be out. It is pretty miserable now though. Just a warning though, global warming is coming. But it is a natural process because the Vikings had farming communities in Greenland. Remnants remain to this day.
