"it's not the lens, it's me." :)

Honestly, I thought of selling my new 35 lux. Not because the lens is anything less than perfect... it is actually outstanding!

It's just that I was brought up on 50mm fixed lens photography, and on reviewing my recent photos, I found my 50mm pictures simply more engaging than the 35s.

I've decided that I need some time to work with the 35 alone to really get to grips with how to get the most out of this lens for striking pictures. I think that the ones coming up for sale may be because people aren't getting the results they want with such a fantastic (and expensive) lens, and don't have the patience to learn all over again what it takes to make a good picture with that focal length.

This, however, is all speculation. There could be another reason.

I hope to be able to master this focal length as I feel I have done over many years of using 50s.

just my humble opinion. I certainly don't think there is a fault with the lens.

Hungry? I get the reference. Do try to read between the lines, Aymoon! The first statement was nonsensical so I followed it with another. It's called irony. Just because you see something for sale does not imply that there is a problem:rolleyes:. The item may be for sale or any number of reasons. These lenses are hard to come by, which is why, like many other high value products, they are sometimes ordered and then sold on for a profit...or the original buyer had other financial difficulties and needed to sell..... or any number of reasons. Just to see two lenses for sale and then to start a thread about it supposing there are problems with it is nonsensical. If the focal length is not for you why part with so much money before you undertand how it works? Anyway, I meant it tongue-in-cheek so if you're offended you do have my apologies :) (it was a dogtooth pattern, sort of gorblimey type, anyone ?)

Regards

Alex
