Adam Marelli Posted December 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) On a recent trip to India, I tested an older, non-ASPH 90mm Summicron on my M9. For anyone thinking about buying a brilliant portrait lens, this is a great one to buy. Walking Barefoot » Adam Marelli Photo I promised myself not to buy it at the end of the review, but below is the link to the article. It is for sale at Photo Village, but with Santa Claus around the corner, I doubt it will be there long. If anyone else regularly shoots this lens or the 90mm ASPH I would love to hear your thoughts it. Best-Adam Welcome, dear visitor! tobey bilek Posted December 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2010 Many of the 90`s go a little soft under 6 feet which makes it a brilliant portrait lens. You can stop it down, but it does not help. I kept mine for this very reason along with a Summicron R. Other than that , it is very good lens. 90 2.8, Elmarit for viso, current 90 4.0 do not. All the rest of relatively modern generation I can think of are in the other catagory.
