M3 vs M2

Dear JC

sure the M3, is the best. Talking about this theme with Sammartino & Casanova the expert technician of historical Leitz Service of Genova, them tell me that the other great camera is M5. For the great complicate mechanics and refinement. So we don't to say that this camera was a lucky camera, but if you think about it you know that it's true only for the large dimension not for else. Luigi Sammartino told me that a special features of internal mechanics of M3 is that it have double brake shutter (low noise and vibration), the M2 and the others have only one brake shutter (cost savings).

Hear you next time for the others intricate things

Embraces to everybody

Amen.

Using a M3, M6, MP - the M3 is the one. The culmination of Leica's craftmanship as are other German products of the same era.

A relative of mine worked for Solms for over 30 years, he says the M3 was the pride of everybody there for years after they seized making it.

If you have held one, operated it, looked through the VF you will understand.

Dear Giuseppe Ciccarella,

thanks for your suggestion. I have clicked on your friend's site (http://www.newoldcamera.com) as well yours (http://passione-leitz.iitalia.com/) and would like congratulate you for the very impressive work you are doing about Leitz.

The Tiziano Terzani's quoting about M3 is really great. Thanks for sharing all that with us.
