gar1013 Posted December 1, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted December 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) So with the bottom half portion fitted to the X1, should you secure it with the giant thumbscrew, or only utilize the thumbscrew when you are securing the entire camera. Â Is the rest of the case meant to be left at home / in the car / wherever you forgot it when not in use?

Not enough time to return and get new case before my trip across the pond.
h00ligan Posted December 1, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted December 1, 2010 Yes, secured w/ screw. The rest comes off when unneeded.

gar1013 Posted December 1, 2010 Author Share #7 Â Posted December 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, secured w/ screw. The rest comes off when unneeded. Â Which is odd because all the photos show the camera in the half case without the screw attached, because it would not be able to sit flat with the screw exposed (it sticks out about 1 cm or so). gerryl Posted December 2, 2010 Share #10 Â Posted December 2, 2010 Did you realise, before ordering, that A&A do two half cases for the X1. One for use with the Leica handgrip attached and the other without. If you check out Red Dot Cameras London website you can see them both. They have both in stock and Classic Cameras also in London is expecting delivery of both the week and has a variety of A&A straps in stock also. Personally I went for the Luigi half case in natural aged brown together with the deluxe strap, hand grip and tripod screw which is flush with the bottom of the case and secures it to the camera. The case is really beautiful, functional and smells divine, I know that's sad but is does!
