ChiILX1 Posted December 28, 2010 Share #81 Â Posted December 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Understood. Just my opinion, as I bought an X1 to have something small and portable and a possible backup for an M9. If it were my primary camera, I would also be looking for such solutions. For me, the X1 cannot be a primary camera and really cannot function as a backup either until they fix the slowness. I gave away a Canon G10 to my son because I was frustrated by lost shots due to shutter lag and slow autofocus. I thought the X1 was going to be better, but so far it too is frustrating, though for static subjects it produces very fine images. Â The X1 is a great pocket camera. If you are going on a photowalk, you could put filters and/or a hood on it since you will have it around your neck anyway. Â Once I see a hood / filter combo I really like I will get it and bring it only on my photowalks.

phancj Posted December 29, 2010 Share #82 Â Posted December 29, 2010 I bought the X1 for its size/IQ, and have it in the waist pouch. But Lambda though I will probably not do this enhancement to my X1 I must admit it looks great.

I bought this Adapter and this foldable Lenshood  Everything fits directly! So you can use a Lenshood with Filters as you can see on the pictures.  There is no vignetting! . brucek Posted January 18, 2011 Author Share #93 Â Posted January 18, 2011 Did SK Grimes ever make one? Â I'm anxiously waiting delivery of mine. I think it should be here (along with my X1) later today or tomorrow. As soon as I get it I will try to post some photos of it along with my impressions. noctilux2 Posted January 23, 2011 Share #94 Â Posted January 23, 2011 Rainbow Imaging do an adapter for the X1 that lets you fit any 49mm accessory,ie filters & lenshood. Note they only have three left in stock...after I got mine !
