johnnyj Posted November 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just bought a D-Lux 5. I really, really like the camera. I also have a D-Lux 4 and 3 (as well a Digilux-2, R8&9 and two DMRs). But I really like the D-Lux 5 and the images from it. I noticed that on the Battery Compartment door there is a little gray rubber-like door. What is that for? Any ideas? There is nothing in the manual (either the electronic or hard copy manual) about the little gray door. Possibly some upcoming feature? Any guesses? Advertisement Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Hi johnnyj, Take a look here D-Lux 5 Trap Door. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted November 16, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2010 That is to use a external power source. You need both the power cord, AC adapter, (with wall outlet brick, DMW-AC5PP) and the DC coupler that takes the place of the battery (DMW-DCC7). these are Panasonic LX5 parts but since the DL5 is the exact same camera as the LX5, with different clothes, all Panasonic parts will fit.
