Advertisement Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Hi tacomadm18, Take a look here Remote Control -for D-lux 5 . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted November 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 13, 2010 He comes up with a lot of useful add-on product for a number of cameras. But since the LX/DL 5 has a 2 second self timer feature I'm not sure a cable release is really needed. YMMV. I certainly wouldn't need one as if I were ever to mount my LX 5 on a tripod I would either take the shot by pressing the shutter release with my finger or use the 2 second timer feature. Just more junk/gear to get in the way of taking images.
ians Posted November 13, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 13, 2010 I have one (for D-lux 4) - useful - but not convenient if using a viewfinder. ian

Custom Mechanical Cable Release Adapter -- D-LUX 5 Richard Franiec's Camera Accessories thanks I use a similar device on my Canon GL-9. I set the camera to consistent shooting, set the ISO, F stop & Shutter speed, press and lock the "plunger" on the release and walk away. The camera shoots until the card is full. I also have a DL-5 and it would be better, if the top that went into the shoe had another "HOT" shoe on top for the view finder. The devise for the GL-9 is available from lensmate and it is a small cover that fits over the release button and does not get into play with the hot shoe. girphoto Posted November 16, 2010 Share #6 Posted November 16, 2010 will it fit a D-lux 5??? If I get a chance in the morning, I will give it a try, but I think that the shuttle release button is different. Do you know how much the one for the D-LUX 5 is? The problem is not being able to use the view finder.
