Just like there are variations in top-of-the-line lenses too. Always praying for a good copy.

Manufacturing of any product always entails QC variations and normally a certain tolerance is deemed acceptable. We like to think the more pricey a product or more premium the brand the narrower this tolerance but sometimes if not often this is not true.

Yes, I think there are some variations in Quality. And my intention is to find a camera

that ist betten than it should be. One the upper rage of the variations.

I looked to so many pictures from others, It's very difficult to compare ...

We all know it's slow. So, if you have to hunt a picture a day for the news or come up with a story instantly so you can pay your bills, you'll probably end up with a d5 and a 35mm prime. That's clear.

The bottom line is the IQ. If a picture works out to be good in time, space, people and camera settings and the moment, it's a very (very) good camera for its size! The results are sometimes eye blowing, really!

Don't forget, you have to get the camera settings right. I read a lot of stories about lose dials and so forth. Please, people check what you are doing, all the time! This little camera needs a lot of attention when making good pictures. In that perspective it's not a point and shoot.

Yep, the Leica X1 is a very good camera!
