Is there one specifically designed for it? Most descriptions of the flash unit mention an external power pack but doesn't specify which one. Thanks for any info. I was at a wedding last week and the official photographer was really getting off more shots with his externally-powered speedlite than my SF 58 with fresh alkaline batteries. I'll be taking photos of an event in a few weeks and it will be mostly indoor shots and was wondering if I should invest in this--or just bring more batteries. (Definitely cheaper.) The SF 58 is quite capable with just plain batteries, but I've had rapid succession shots trying to get the right emotion when it didn't fire because it was recycling. I think it would also be nice to be able to power the SF 58 on a support pole in slave mode and using my SF 24D as trigger (or until a good remote comes up). dpattinson Posted November 6, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've found using Energizer 2450 mAh rechargeables give me a pretty good recycle time unless I'm firing full power - which is pretty rare.
