jwcane.enw Posted November 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) What is the safest, gentlest way of removing the cap from the mains connector on the DMR? Had a brief look and the solution did not appear to be obvious. Could not find answer in the manual. Thanks.
Advertisement Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Hi jwcane.enw, Take a look here DMR mains socket cover. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jwcane.enw Posted November 4, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted November 4, 2010 It is a threaded fitting. Finally opened it. Are there tools for grabbing the teeth of the cap?
locator Posted November 4, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 4, 2010 Nope. You have to manage to do it by yourself What i do is cut a small amount of duct tape and stick it on the cover Once is attached, i turn it counterclockwise with my finger, putting pressure against the camera This way you avoid the slipping, wich is the big deal. Also, you can put the tape onto the adapter, while you use it,and avoid the loss of the cover To put it again, just do the same(and you are able to put more strenght on the process).
