scottwallick Posted October 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2010 Free, excellent, but useful, even better. But how does one go about obtaining the software? Perhaps I've missed the download link.
Artichoke Posted October 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2010 useful, particularly for giving the shutter actuation numbers, which is not simple to get from other EXIF readers here is a link software from the author's software page I understand the author, Wolfram Söns, is a member of this forum my thanks to Wolfram for this useful small application

dashone Posted October 28, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 28, 2010 Having a case of the stupids this a.m. (or maybe just a case of the "can't remembers.") Downloaded the new "M9Info - Quick Access to Your M9 Data" (from the latest Leica Newsletter) and it is currently sitting, unzipped, on my Mac desktop. I would appreciate a patient someone walking me through the process of integrating said firmware into my M9 via, I assume, a newly formatted memory card. Thank you in advance, and apologies for the boneheaded question. dashone@earthlink.net
mjh Posted October 28, 2010 Share #7 Posted October 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) As far as I know M9Info is an application; it is supposed to run on your Macintosh. It is nothing that needs to (or could) be installed on your camera.
Nicoleica Posted October 28, 2010 Share #8 Posted October 28, 2010 I believe that this software runs on your computer, and not on your M9. It gives you quick access to M9 specific exif information from a DNG file.
wparsonsgisnet Posted October 28, 2010 Share #9 Posted October 28, 2010 It works nicely. Many thanks. There is also supposed to be a similar app for the M8, but I don't find it. Anybody got a link for that? Regards,
Hakku Posted October 28, 2010 Share #10 Posted October 28, 2010 It works nicely. Many thanks. There is also supposed to be a similar app for the M8, but I don't find it. Anybody got a link for that? SJP Posted October 28, 2010 Share #13 Posted October 28, 2010 I just looked at his Moskow pictures - this for me is more impressive than the software. The software is fine of course, but does not add too much to what is already available.
Double Negative Posted October 31, 2010 Share #14 Posted October 31, 2010 I just tried it and it worked fine. Mac Pro running 10.6.4 and M9 with 1.138 FW. Cool.

Dougg Posted November 6, 2010 Share #17 Posted November 6, 2010 I had been using his M8Inf program on my Mac, very useful on occasion, so I was pretty pleased to see the M9Info version... Since my M9 arrived today I could check my first DNG file, and I see there is additional information provided now. Very nice, and thanks to Wolfram! Double Negative Posted November 10, 2010 Share #18 Posted November 10, 2010 It's nice to be able to see the shutter count and renumber a file to that (+1) to reset your image numbering. Especially after the last FW update which could reset you to L000001.DNG!
