Hi All,

Ive been lurking on here a while and have recently purchased a X1 after much research, normally shoot with Canon DSLR's and wanted something smaller for the times when i cont want to carry lots of heavy glass around, Loving it so far, havent had a chance to really get out and use it yet, weathers been a little bad but hopefully soone.

I also purchased a Voigtlander 35mm OVF for my new camera and I think mine is faulty, can anyone who has one please tell me if one of the elements inside should be rotated slightly from the rest of the eyepiece ?

If i look through mine from any distance i can see a middle element of glass that creates a kind of shadow/frame around the bright lines when up close, its hard to explain, but mine appears to be 20 degrees rotated from the bright lines, so whenever i look through it before taking a shot, this angled piece casts a shadow over two corners of the bright lines, anyone else have this or is it just me ??

Thanks and sorry for going on too long :)

Welcome Firesuite,

Once I also was carrying lots of heavy Canon glass around, but since I bought the X1 my DSRL stays home. Considering IQ and color it easily beats the Canon L glass.

I can not answer your question, because I am using the Leica VF, but I wanted to suggest you to start a new topic with the problem mentioned in your title. I think this will be more effective in attracting the attention of Voigtlander VF users.

greetz and enjoy your camera with or without VF!

Firesuite, welcome to the Forum!

I have the LEica VF and no problems with that. If yours is faulty, I would return it swiftly to the dealer.

Wishing you many happy successful hours of pleasure with your X1.
