D-Lux 5 flash

I would also have to buy, and possibly return, the D-Lux 5 as well (when they are available), as I do want to be able to use a stronger flash with bounce capabilities. I really liked the Nikon P7000 (on paper) until I read so many bad reports from users. I'm an old Canon user (just sold my 1D3 outfit) and so maybe the G12 is the way to go.

Why not get the LX5. The same optics as the D-Lux 5, has a built-in finger grip, instead of buy it separately, and you know it works with the Panasonic dedicated strobes?????

I have the Panasonic LX5 already. Don't have to wait to pay far more for the Red Dot, and I have beautiful Leica glass.

I had looked at that and it seemed it didn't work on the D-Lux 5. I guess I need to check it out again, thanks.

The Metz 58 AF-2 digital in FT-Version has a tilting head and more power. It fits on the D-Lux 5 with all TTL automatics

You need the FT or Olympus-Version of the Metz 58. With other Versions the TTL-Automatics would not work.
