Guest WPalank Posted October 8, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 8, 2010 Unfortunately, and although I do have the whole collection purchased one by one, I don't have access to the download. Contact Nik. I noticed yesterday that they would be giving away the download to people that owned the Complete Collection and was one product shy (Nik Sharpener Pro). I called yesterday with a 15% off coupon and the woman said she would be giving me 40% off Sharpener since I had bought the others one at a time and I ould be elgible for the free download of HDR Pro. She then told me that HDR would be going live this Monday, but instead it was available last night (Thursday). She also told me the FREE key available to people who own the Complete collection would go out sometime next week. Therefore, I downloaded the 15 day free trial and will input the key to use it without the splash waning next week when it arrives.
Guest WPalank Posted October 8, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2010 I got a chance to convert an image (series, handheld) out of LR3 this morning. By far!... the most intuitive, subtle and easy to use software for HDR out there. Compared to CS5 or Photomatix anyway.
Guest WPalank Posted October 8, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 8, 2010 Nik pulled the plug on the download till Monday. You snooze, you lose. Many people had pre-ordered with credit cards and their orders won't be fulfilled until Monday. I took one of their webinars on the product and filled out a box with my email at the end for notification. They sent me notification last night even before they sent notification to people who had actually bought the product (which will be this Monday). Short lived glitch. asfeir Posted October 9, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 9, 2010 Thanks I finally managed to download and install. When I select pictures in LR3 and want to edit, tifs are created and HDR Efex opens, but does not load the pictures. I need to go to menue "load exposure series" Is that normal? Guest WPalank Posted October 9, 2010 Share #7 Posted October 9, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks I finally managed to download and install. When I select pictures in LR3 and want to edit, tifs are created and HDR Efex opens, but does not load the pictures. I need to go to menue "load exposure series" Is that normal? It should load A tone-mapped picture, not picture(s). I'm on a Mac, here's my path: Select images (in LR3), File> Export...> HDR Efex pro (on the left under Nik Software)> Export. The module opens with a SINGLE picture to the right and the presets on the left. If that's now what you are getting, I don't know. They won't have documentation up till Monday. I was using "edit in" instead of "export to"
