Shootist Posted October 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just wondering if the SF58 flash can be used on a D-Lux 5. As I already own this flash and use it on my M8. Has anyone tried this combo?
Advertisement Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Hi Shootist, Take a look here SF58 on D-Lux 5???. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Nicoleica Posted October 3, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 3, 2010 I think you can use it Ok in M or A mode, but not for any direct TTL use. I believe that the D-Lux5 needs the CF-22, the same as for the D-Lux4.
Wiggi Posted October 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 5, 2010 For the D-LUX 5 you need the Metz 58-AF in the FT-Version.
Shootist Posted October 5, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted October 5, 2010 For the D-LUX 5 you need the Metz 58-AF in the FT-Version. That is to have it function in the TTL mode, correct. I have never liked any auto (TTL, iTTL, whatever they call it from different makers) flash. They always seem to be way to bright. So I will try the SF58 on the DL5 in manual mode with set (manual) shutter speed and aperture. Thanks.
