Advertisement Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hi mikel cumiskey, Take a look here OK help an idiot out folks. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted September 25, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 25, 2010 I think it's an M42 thread which was used on old Pentaxs amongst others. If it is M42 you should be able to get an M42 to M adaptor, but the resulting lens won't be rangefinder coupled.
doubice Posted September 25, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 25, 2010 Mikel, Your Yashinon lens has what is referred to as M-42 or Pentax/Praktica thread mount. You will need an M-42 to Leica Thread mount adapter and a Leica Thread to M mount adapter. You already have the one of those - the one that you are using to attach the Jupiter lens. The other adapter looks like this: *NEW* ADAPTER Pentax M42 lense TO LEICA L39 SCREW MOUNT - eBay (item 400155323074 end time Oct-17-10 13:41:35 PDT) It will probably cost more than you paid for the lens……. Good luck, Jan
