Actually, I just went to the Hasselblad booth today and looked at the revised lenses. In fact, the lens designer was standing just across the counter. Both the 50mm and the 120mm lens use the same housing/barrel, just with revised internal optics. I'll be writing this up in some detail on my blog update for the day, with pictures. rosuna Posted September 22, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted September 22, 2010 The 50mm seems to have thicker lens elements and less air-to-glass surfaces. The new MTF curves are impressive, and the differences with the previous model are substantial. The differences in the macro lens are no so evident. Mr. Sama says Hasselblad claims to have optimized the color correction in the new macro lens. Leica has presented a macro lens with (broadly) similar specifications.
