Dave_22 Posted September 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good to see Leica at Photokina But very disappointed - Are Leica intending to do anything for the R8 and R9 user, you know those many thousands that have invested in the R range of lenses - I'd love to have an S2 but not at that price or are we to find an alternative digital solution? - Dave A

ruiespanhol Posted September 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2010 Good to see Leica at Photokina But very disappointed - Are Leica intending to do anything for the R8 and R9 user, you know those many thousands that have invested in the R range of lenses - I'd love to have an S2 but not at that price or are we to find an alternative digital solution? - Dave A Dave, The solution is buy one Canon and whit one adapter use your R lenses. My new EOS 50D is on the way, also the adapter. My R8 was on sell, however can I keep it for film I will decide what I can do after I have my new Canon. Its a shame:mad: Leica make this for the R users who spend a lot of money in that system and no nomobody at leica cares about us. After many years using Leica cameras I will go for Canon Because Leica do not Mfg. one R digital camera! Best,
troyfreund Posted September 21, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 21, 2010 You can find things for the R8/R9+DMR user at the DMR battery thread I started. Michael Bass Designs of CT has some things in development to help us R Digital users!
leicar7 Posted September 22, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 22, 2010 I wish Leica would just get on with it and give us an honest, straight forward, simple statement. "No" is the more likely real answer. "There will be a solution," is getting long in the tooth. I got a query the other day from the Smithsonian about bequeathing them my 35-70/2.8. I'm getting tired of having to tell such an august institution that "I'm waiting for The Solution."
