Why, did we really need such a camera? Does it take better pictures than the standard M9!!! Leica stop wasting your money on such needless stuff. I guess next a gold or platinum M9. :confused::confused:

I agree with the previous user. This is a pointless introduction. If the camera body was made of Titanium, a strong, light material, it might be interesting. This is merely cosmetic coat, more male jewelery.

PS I would be much more impressed if the DIGILUX 2 were upgraded with an increased pixel count, faster image handling and the ability to take storage cards higher than 2GB.

Also, I can't see why the viewfinder could not be direct, not electronic. Rant over!

The LEICA M9 ‘Titanium’ is constructed exclusively with premium quality materials. For instance, all visible metal elements of the camera body are made from solid titanium, a particularly light but extremely strong and durable metal that can only be manufactured with special tools..................................

So much for cosmetics :-) Better read the press release first next time.
