Advertisement Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Hi ChiILX1, Take a look here Lens Hood & Filters Interested Parties List. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
phancj Posted September 21, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted September 21, 2010 Frankly I do not see the need for filters, although some may want a neutral filter for protection so no lens cap is needed. For me the X1 is good as it is. But I may not mind a filter as protection for an intense day of shooting, provided it does not cost too much, since I may not use it that much. JeTexas Posted September 21, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted September 21, 2010 I would be interested. I shoot on boats and at the beach often. A 50mm threaded lens barrel with a filter on the end would seal out spray and sand. I've hobbled together my own from a Nikon adapter, but if there was one that fit better, I'd definitely buy it. BB W Posted September 21, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted September 21, 2010 If they could make one that would work and not screw up the lens, I'm sure I'd want to buy one for protective purposes, too.
prk60091 Posted September 21, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted September 21, 2010 i would only be interested in ND filter and/or polarizing filters- with easy on/off i spent good $ for this lens- i don't want to degrade it by putting cheaper glass over it
r28551 Posted September 22, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted September 22, 2010 I don't see a filter thread on the x1. Am I missing something?
ChiILX1 Posted September 22, 2010 Author Share #7 Â Posted September 22, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't see a filter thread on the x1. Am I missing something? Â Unscrew the metal ring around the lens.
