NZDavid Posted September 18, 2010 Author Share #41 Â Posted September 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) As I said above, "There is. It's called the M9." For me, RF would be an advantage. Main trouble is the price and longevity when sensor technology is always changing.
Advertisement Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hi NZDavid, Take a look here X1 v GF1 v others now. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jto555 Posted September 18, 2010 Share #42 Â Posted September 18, 2010 Mine has no af, how about yours? Â Hi Ecaton, my point exactly. Thats another reason the X1 with interchangeable lenses would hurt the sales of M series.
Guest badbob Posted September 19, 2010 Share #43 Â Posted September 19, 2010 There is. It is called the M8. That is the problem with an X1 with interchangeable lens, it could cannibalise sales of M cameras. An X1 with M lenses would be very close to the IQ of an M9 but at 1/4 of the price. Â I don't think an X1 with interchangeable lenses makes much sense. To quote a rude statement by Sarah Palin "like putting lipstick on a pig." And not that the X1 is a bad camera - I think it's worth $2k, but adding interchangeable lenses and lots of extra dollars to such a performance-limited camera makes little sense.
