andalus Posted September 26, 2010 Share #61 Posted September 26, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The best bag I have ever found and now have is a mid sized one from ThinkTank. Holds 13 inch computer, and easily an m9 plus 28 cron, 50 lux asph and 125 apo telyt. plus all accessories i could need like 3 batteries, leica tripod, etc. No finer bag made, and it does not even LOOK like a camera bag. which is nice on streets or wherever where thieves may lurk. Guest Overview Posted September 26, 2010 Share #62 Posted September 26, 2010 Those plastic bags you get at the supermarket are definitely the cheapest and most inconspicuous. Best to put two or three together for more protection.
chuckw Posted September 28, 2010 Share #63 Posted September 28, 2010 I usea big Crumpler (3 years old don't remember the name) to move all lenses and camera when I travel and when I go out to shoot a messenger bag that I have padded myself. Those Billingham bags scream to much to be stolen in my opinion. I like bags not to look too much like camera bags. Thinking of this one : Incase | Ari Marcopoulos , not cheap though. The Incase Ari Marcopolos bag that you site is a really, really nice bag - well thought out! But, that thing is BIG! I wish Incase would make one that was about 2/3rds that size; just big enough for an M9 body, three lenses, and a few miscellaneous goodies. I recently picked up a Crumpler 5 million dollar home which is a nice bag for the above described kit but I wish that it was laid out more like the Marcopolos bag. Nicoleica Posted September 28, 2010 Share #64 Posted September 28, 2010 This may not be relevant to needs of the OP, but it may help others looking for an 'M' bag. If you can find one, Contax used to make a great bag for the G system. It's lovely soft leather, and can hold a camera with lens attached, and up to 3 extra lenses. The lenses can be accessed by opening the lower flap, and are well protected by cushioned partitions. This might be an ideal bag for someone looking for a small and classy bag for a small M system. Brent1965 Posted October 1, 2010 Share #66 Posted October 1, 2010 My observations as a long-term Hadley user is that they age well, and get better and look better as they get older. They remain robust & become "looser" - like a pair of shoes on the owner. Mine fits me perfectly on my left shoulder, the front buckle opens with a flick of one finger. I guess it's because they are made of real materials Canvas & leather. All my Nylon bags on the other hand have aged like $20 school backpacks.
