Advertisement Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Hi petermcwerner, Take a look here 73mm/1.8 Hektor (1938) on on M8 (title corrected). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
peterv Posted January 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2007 Nice picture Peter! And a very interesting idea to use such an 'old' lens on such a new camera... Please take a look at this thread: http://www.leica-camera-user.com/digital-forum/13239-vintage-lenses-m8.html Cheers, Peter
Guest tvleeskr Posted August 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 11, 2007 Hmm, I guess I need to get my 1933 Hektor adjusted. The first pictures where horrible, only after some experimenting I got a more or less "sharp" shot. I used the lens fully open though. Some greens (grass at the left) are actually more realistic then with my 24 Elmarit with IR. But on the other hand some colors disappeared. IR! I like the starry effect because of the lack of coating. I did some PS, mainly to increase contrast, sharpen and to crop to a more or less comparable cut-out. Still a nice marriage with a difference of 74 years. But the Hektor will not be included in my 'standard' gear case. Thom
