2.5 inch Flipbac on M9

Hi,

 

I am Kristin from Flipbac Innovations of Vancouver Canada (flipbac.com). We have just produced an angle viewfinder for cameras with a 2.5 inch lcd. We are after a favor. Could someone please measure and tell us the exact size (in millimeters) of the M9 sapphire lcd . I am after edge to egde measurement of the lcd sapphire / glass lcd panel on the back of the M9 body.

 

Please understand this request isnt spam. We cant seem to get our hands on a M9 to confrm if the Flipbac will fit. Flipbac is a two man company, and we are in Taipei to check quality control at the factory. I cant find a camera store here that stocks the M9. They will only bring one in if I make a deposit to purchase.

It may fit by size, but it won't be fit for purpose.

 

The LCD on the m8/m9 is only used for viewing photos already taken.

Thanks for your reply. We do realize the M9 does not have live view, but we have had several customers email asking if the flipbac will fit or not. Likely, it is for the protection of the LCD.

In any case, we would greatly appreciate if someone was willing to measure up the back LCD panel for us.

The M9 glass (not sapphire) LCD cover plate has a beveled edge. The flat area excluding the bevel is 53.5mm x 42mm. The bevel adds 1mm all around - 2mm to each dimension.

 

Per my ruler, anyway.
